Privacy

Privacy Policy

This policy explains which personal data may be processed through this website, why that happens, and which choices and rights you have.

Who is responsible?

Barbara Loots is responsible for the processing described in this policy. For privacy questions, email hello@barbaraloots.be.

Contact form

When you use the contact form, your name, email address, optional telephone number and the contents of your message are processed. These details are used to answer your question, follow up your enquiry and, where relevant, take steps before entering into a contract.

Depending on the context, this processing is based on taking pre-contractual steps at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) or the legitimate interest in answering and administering enquiries and professional correspondence (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where a legal retention duty applies, processing may also be necessary for compliance with a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).

The forms are processed through Formspree. When you submit a form, Formspree receives the entered information and the technical data associated with a normal web request. No Formspree script is loaded before you submit the form.

Retention

Contact details and correspondence are kept no longer than reasonably necessary to handle the enquiry and any follow-up, comply with legal obligations, and establish, exercise or defend possible legal claims. The specific period therefore depends on the nature and further course of the enquiry.

Hosting and technical logs

When you visit the website, the hosting infrastructure and web server may process ordinary technical log data such as the IP address, time, requested page, browser information and error messages. This supports reliable operation, security and technical diagnosis, based on the legitimate interest in operating and protecting the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes and in accordance with the relevant hosting service’s retention practices.

YouTube and Vimeo videos

YouTube videos are displayed with locally hosted preview images. Theyoutube-nocookie.com player loads only when you choose to press play. From that moment, your browser connects to YouTube, which may process technical data and information about your interaction.

Vimeo videos also use click-to-play. The Vimeo player loads only after your click and uses the dnt=1 parameter. This does not exclude Vimeo processing technical data needed to deliver the video after activation.

Cookies, storage and analytics

The website currently uses no analytics, advertising or conversion tracking. Its own code sets no non-essential tracking cookies and does not use localStorage orsessionStorage for tracking. After activation, external video services may process their own technical data, cookies or similar storage under their own policies.

External links

The website contains links to third-party websites. A connection to those websites is made only when you follow such a link. Their own privacy policies and terms then apply.

Your rights

Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you may request access, correction or deletion of your personal data, restriction of processing, data portability, or object to processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

Send requests to hello@barbaraloots.be. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with theBelgian Data Protection Authority.
